This week's show is dedicated to my man Pete Nice, of the Sunday Niceness.
This is a man who embodies the term 'a scholar & a gentleman'. This is a man who is the single most enthusiastic person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. This is a bloody good bloke with deep crates & equally deep musical knowledge. The sheer joy Pete took from playing tunes for the listeners of George FM has always been an inspiration. I will deeply miss hearing him on air.

Well, well, looky here...
'Tis The Bro 90's first show back in a few weeks & while the cobwebs were there - however briefly - it wasn't long before the volume in the studio was approaching deafening & the air conditioner had burst its britches. Ah yes, so good to be back on the radio!
So, the show began as a bit of a grab-bag, but ended up with some serious freshness from Frank Booker (super slo-mo disco nugget), Fredericks Brown (aka Tipsy Brown & Deva Mahal's new NY-based project) & Fat Freddy's Drop (from their forthcoming album tentatively titled Big BW), alongside stone classics from Goldie Alexander, Sweet Pea Atkinson & The Style Council!
Of course there's plenty of re-edit madness with Dimitri From Paris caning Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, Gay Marvine stripping Herb Alpert's trumpet from Rise, King Storm dropping the one on Martha Reeves & that man Todd Terje taking Paul Simon to another level - and that's besides Waajeed tweaking Tony Allen, the new single from the Platinum Pied Pipers album Abundance, Alice Russell's searing version of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy, an incredible track from Erykah Badu's critically acclaimed New Amerykah album & plenty more besides...
